On April 2, 2021 via Instagram Donald Glover posted a group picture with ‘ATLANTA’ main cast members, captioning it “Day 0” S3 ATL
This immediately built anticipation for the fans. Back in 2019 the hit show was greenlighted for both a Season 3 & 4! Donald Glover also took to twitter in November of 2020 tweeting:
“while im here: ‘atlanta’ s3+s4 are going to be some of the best television ever made. sopranos only ones who can touch us.” -Donald Glover
Statement made by Variety:
“Atlanta” has been renewed for a fourth season at FX before production has begun on the previously announced Season 3. FX made the announcement Tuesday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. Production on Seasons 3 and 4 is slated to begin in the spring. Both seasons will consist of eight episodes.”
